Contacted Batesville water and gas to cancel service effectively 10/31. Their billing runs from the 24th to 23rd of the next month. We were not even in this house the 23rd-31st. I assumed I would have a final bill for 1 week of service. Not the case at all. Informed today that there isn't proration on what you use, you pay for a minimum amount whether you use it or not. Another example of poor and unethical business. Not one thing to do about it but bend over and take it. This is the world we live in...charge me for something, and I have nothing to show for it. Now they will get a double dip as the new customer will also pay their minimum!
